About The Position

Cardiovascular Invasive Technologists in electrophysiology assist physicians in performing multiple procedures including ablations, pacemaker implants, and structural heart procedures. They manage fluoroscopy and radiologic equipment, maintain sterile technique, pass instruments and catheters, and monitor patients. The organization, HSHS, operates 13 hospitals and numerous community-based health centers and clinics across Illinois and Wisconsin, with over 13,000 colleagues. Requirements

  • Associates degree in radiologic technology, allied health, applied science or completion of certificate/training program
  • Licensed Radiographer in the state of practice
  • Certification as a Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography (RT(R)) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required or obtained within 6 months of hire

  • Experience in radiology/diagnostic imaging is preferred
