About The Position

Christian Hospital is looking for a Scrub tech in the Cardiac cath lab. This position will be assisting physicians with different cardiac and vascular procedures, and structural heart procedures. Sterile technique and patient care is involved with every procedure. Use of x-ray equipment is also required.
Monday through Friday 8am- 4:30pm
Call Schedule 1-2 days per week plus every 3rd weekend

Northwest HealthCare, six miles west of Christian, offers 24- hour emergency care, the Sleep Disorders Center and a variety of outpatient diagnostic and imaging services.
The Cardiac Catheterization Lab provides services to all in-house patients or outpatients, patients directly from the Emergency Room, or patients transferred from other health care facilities, excluding pediatric patients. Basic physical, emotional and educational assessment of patients undergoing cardiac catheterization. Analgesia and moderate sedation needs are assessed prior, during and post procedure by the nurse. Assistance to physicians performing diagnostic and interventional procedures; pharmacologic and hemodynamic support of patients before, during and after all invasive procedures. Post-procedural assessment, stabilization and transfer to appropriate medical/surgical service.

Role Purpose
Provides patient care essential to cardiac catheterization procedures, including calculating hemodynamic values for the physician during complicated diagnostic and intervention procedures.

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-5 years
