About The Position
Join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) team and take on one of the most rewarding roles in critical care nursing. As a CVICU Acute Care RN, you’ll provide advanced care for patients recovering from cardiac surgery, heart failure, and complex cardiovascular conditions . Your expertise will be vital in managing hemodynamic monitoring, administering life-saving interventions, and supporting patients through their most vulnerable moments. Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience in Med/Surg, PCU, ICU, or Emergency Department
- Active RN license (state-specific or multistate compact)
- Certifications: BLS (within 30 days of hire) ACLS (within 90 days) PALS (within 90 days)
- Nonviolent Crisis Prevention/Intervention (within 6 months)
- ENPC or TNCC (within 6 months)
- Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in high-stress situations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Compassionate, detail-oriented patient care
- Comfort with advanced medical technology
Nice To Haves
- Additional emergency or trauma certifications strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Triage, assess, and provide direct nursing care to patients of all ages
- Perform rapid assessments and respond to critical changes in patient condition
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed
- Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, and internal departments
- Document assessments, interventions, and progress accurately
- Educate patients and families on follow-up care and resources
- Maintain a safe, clean, patient-focused environment
- Support a collaborative team culture
