About The Position

Overlook Medical Center is seeking a Registered Cardiac Sonographer to perform diagnostic quality echo cardiography procedures. Candidate will perform echo doppler studies, stress echocardiograms and transesophageal echocardiograms. Starting rate $40.60/hr Essential Function/Responsibilities: Performance of echocardiograms in accordance with established department protocols based on ASE and IAC standards and in compliance with Atlantic Health System (AHS) policies and procedures. Complete clerical tasks associated with echo exams, including completing and recording all testing information accurately and in a timely manner. Knowledge of DICOM workflow inclusive of work list, imaging, exporting, and preliminary reporting. The sonographer will assist the physician with performance of Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE) and Stress echocardiograms as needed.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited CVT school with focus on echocardiography (CAAHEP accredited preferred).
• Credentialed with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification required.
• Min. of 1 year experience performing echocardiograms in a hospital setting preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills with patient focus required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in performing Transesophageal Echocardiograms preferred.
• 3D echocardiography experience is a plus.

Responsibilities
