About The Position

The Cardiovascular Sonographer will perform diagnostic cardiovascular ultrasound
studies and provides written technical impressions to assist cardiologists with
interpretations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two year allied health education program that is patient care related or Certification from a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) Certification; or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) Certification required, or Registered Vascular Tech (RVT) or Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS).
• Must possess strong organizational, time management, detail and communication skills; the ability to prioritize projects and work in a fast paced, frequently crisis driven environment.
• Basic computer skills required, including Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail, and typing.
• Must be able to provide complicated information in a clear and concise manner to those not familiar with the information being provided.
• Ability to work collaboratively with others from a variety of disciplines.
• Data collection, problem solving, and decision making skills required.

Nice To Haves

• Dual registry in cardiac and vascular highly preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish or local Native languages a plus.
• Two years experience performing 2D, stress, and dobutamine stress echocardiograms preferred.
