Our new Cardiovascular Interventional suite offers the complete integration of leading-edge imaging and technology to diagnose and treat patients with cardiovascular disease and other conditions using minimally invasive alternatives to surgical procedures. Our ‘Suite” team consists of expert Radiologists, Vascular Surgeons, Electrophysiologists, Interventional Cardiologists, Radiology technologists and Registered Nurses collaborating to provide innovative personalized care to our community. The Quality & Data Coordinator supports organizational and service-line initiatives related to patient safety, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and data management. This role ensures accurate data abstraction, reporting, and analysis for both system-wide quality programs and cardiovascular service line registries. The position collaborates with clinical and administrative teams to promote a culture of safety, high reliability, and evidence-based practice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's preferred.
  • RN license required
  • 3 years of experience in quality management, patient safety, risk management, or cardiovascular services in an acute care setting.
  • Experience with data abstraction, registry reporting, and quality improvement methodologies.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with EPIC reporting, dashboards, and project management tools preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support quality improvement projects across departments and within the cardiovascular service line.
  • Abstract and report data for publicly reported measures, registries (VQI, NCDR), and accreditation requirements.
  • Maintain and develop dashboards and EPIC reports for tracking and trending quality metrics.
  • Manage and monitor safety reporting systems, review events, and assist with root cause analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, NJ DOH, National Patient Safety Goals, and specialty accreditation standards.
  • Assist in the development of policies, procedures, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Participate in regulatory readiness activities, proactive risk assessments, and safety culture initiatives.
  • Support evidence-based practice implementation and contribute to strategic planning for quality and patient safety.
  • Attend and contribute to registry meetings, conferences, and professional development activities.
