Cardiovascular Certified Surgical Technologist, Per Diem

He/she has an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. He/she has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care a during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field.
Requirements
- BLS Certification
- Surgical Technologist certification required
- Graduate of an approved Surgical Technologist program
- Well organized and possess high degree of manual dexterity
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, customer service and communication skills required
Nice To Haves
- 3 years experience in a hospital-based surgical service preferred
Responsibilities
- Checks Supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedure, such as scrubs, gowns and gloves.
- Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment and medications/solutions needed for surgery.
- Performs appropriate counts with circulator prior to the operation ad n before incision is closed.
- Checks supplies, and equipment needed for surgical procedure.
- Using the principles of asepsis, prepares instruments, supplies and sutures for the surgical procedure
- Assists in properly positioning patient
- Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment and medications/solutions needed for procedure.
- Provides appropriate instrumentation and supplies to surgeon during procedures.
