About The Position

Texas Health Physicians Group is pleased to announce a full time opening for a Cardiothoracic Surgical Physician Assistant . Here is your chance to work with highly skilled and trained physicians who use state-of-the-art technology and innovative procedures for patients who are diagnosed with a disease of the chest, heart, lungs, esophagus or the major blood vessels and veins of the body. Position Details: Full Time, 40 hours per week Surgical Assist in cardiovascular and thoracic cases Outpatient Ambulatory Visits & Hospital Rounding Assess new consults in the clinic and hospital admissions Assist with vein and radial harvesting; CABG and valve surgery Competitive Salary, comprehensive benefits package, CME, Malpractice and 401K

Requirements

Master's Degree Physician Assistant
1 Year As a Physician Assistant
PA - Physician Assistant Must maintain board certification as required for licensure
Active listening and learning, critical thinking, reading comprehension, effective communication, time management, judgment and decision making
Active Texas license
Physician Assistant Board Certification and Experience
Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies from an approved PA program
Surgical Experience plus 1 – 2 years Hospital & Ambulatory experience
