Riverside Medical Group is actively recruiting a full-time Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our esteemed team at Riverside Thoracic & Cardiovascular Specialists . About the Practice: Riverside Thoracic & Cardiovascular Specialists offer comprehensive services in adult cardiac, thoracic, and peripheral vascular surgery. We leverage cutting-edge technology and the robust resources of Riverside Medical Group (RMG) —one of Virginia’s largest and most diverse multi-specialty physician groups. Our Services Include: Cardiac Surgery: Ascending aneurysm repair Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) Valve repair and replacement Thoracic Surgery: Chest tube insertion Lung masses and nodules Lung cancer Esophageal ruptures, tears, and cancer Mediastinal masses Candidate Profile: We are seeking a skilled and collaborative surgeon with expertise in both adult cardiac and general thoracic surgery , including pre- and post-operative care. Experience with TAVR , mitral valve repair/replacement , endovascular and minimally invasive techniques including robotics and thoracic aortic disease is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will complement our current team, which focuses on CABG, aortic valve procedures, and thoracic surgery. Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
  • Licensed Medical Doctor – State of Virginia
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible by [name of approved boards]
  • Current DEA Qualifications
  • Ability to make independent decisions regarding patient care.
  • Ability to document appropriately and communicate with appropriate parties in a timely manner.
  • Ability to complete charts in a timely manner.
  • Experienced in diagnosis and treatment of common medical conditions
  • Basic working knowledge of managed care and Medicare population
  • Pleasant speaking voice and demeanor
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Professional appearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with TAVR
