About The Position

Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN is looking for exceptional, patient focused Cardiopulmonary Rehab Therapist to join our Cardiopulmonary Rehab team and make a difference for our patients and our community. The Cardiopulmonary Rehab Therapist is responsible for obtaining diagnostic information used to evaluate patients for heart disease by performing various non-invasive cardiac testing. In addition, Cardiopulmonary Rehab Therapist performs and documents functions such as carrying out physician’s medical orders, providing a safe and therapeutic environment, coordinating, communicating, and interpreting and explaining patient care services to the patient, their family, and other health professionals. The therapist participates in the inpatient and outpatient treatment of patients sustaining cardiovascular and/or pulmonary disease with related conditions. The therapist oversees the patient’s exercise program, evaluates their response to exercise and provides patient/family member education. The therapist works collaboratively in the pacemaker/ICD/EP clinic to manage remote monitoring systems and assist with reprogramming of Pacemakers/ICDs. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, exercise physiology, or physical education.
  • If clinical background is RN, PT, OT, current MN licensure is required.
  • BLS and ACLS required within six months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree.
  • Previous clinical experience.
  • Certified Clinical Exercise Specialist or Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist.
  • Advanced Cardiology technologist registry or registry eligible (CCDS, RCIS, RECS).
