Primary responsibilities include placing monitors on patients, instructing patients on proper use, and analyzing digitized ECG recordings to generate accurate quantitative arrhythmia reports for physician review.

Requirements

  • Work requires completion of an Associate's degree in Health Science or any Allied Health field
  • Work generally requires one year of experience in a related health care setting. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Responsibilities

  • Apply, remove, and manage ambulatory ECG (Holter and MCT/Event) monitors for adult and pediatric populations in the inpatient and outpatient spaces, ensuring proper placement and signal quality.
  • Educate patients on monitoring procedures, equipment use, activity and symptom diary documentation, and data transmission requirements.
  • Analyze digitized ECG recordings using specialized software to identify arrhythmias and clinically relevant events.
  • Edit and validate ECG data and generate comprehensive quantitative arrhythmia reports for physician interpretation.
  • Perform routine equipment cleaning, inspection, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance, including lead review and recorder function checks.
  • Maintain accurate patient schedules, procedure logs, and monitoring records.
  • Maintain databases for archiving diagnostic recordings and perform routine data backups to the computer network.
  • Prepare patient rooms and maintain stock of monitoring supplies, including electrodes, leads, and related materials.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described.
