Cardiac Telemetry Med-Surg Registered Nurse
About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Cardiac Telemetry Med-Surg RN to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care environment. This role focuses on monitoring cardiac telemetry patients, managing complex medical conditions, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Available Shifts Days: Rotating weekends Nights: Rotating weekends (night differential applies) Important Notes Candidates must live within a 60-minute commute of the facility Patient ratios: Days: 5:1 or 6:1 Nights: 6:1 In-person interview required , including shadowing, facility tour, and administrative interview
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience (within the last 4 years)
- Active Florida RN license or multistate compact eligibility
- BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
- ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire
- Candidates with 3+ years of RN experience and a compact license must obtain a Florida RN license
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess cardiac telemetry patients for changes in condition
- Provide care for post-surgical and medically complex patients in a Med-Surg setting
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and discharge plans
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR) documentation
