Except to deliver care to 4-6 patients per shift for Cardiac patients Unit also cares for med surg telemetry patients.This is Nursing Surgical Floor (not OR): Specializes in abdominal surgery including Bariatrics How many beds 30 RN to Patient ratio 1:5

Requirements

• Degree in Nursing from an accredited program college, or university
• At least one (1) year of RN experience
• Active Registered Nurse license in good standing with the Texas Board of Nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) within 2 years from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• deliver care to 4-6 patients per shift for Cardiac patients
• Administer medications
• change dressings
• monitor vital signs
• chart with timely documentation
• Collaborate with a variety of other healthcare professionals such as social work, care coordination, physical therapy, occupational therapy, lab, respiratory therapy and imaging
