This role involves performing invasive cardiac, peripheral vascular diagnostic, interventional, and electrophysiology procedures. The Cardiac Technologist utilizes sophisticated imaging, hemodynamic monitoring, and recording equipment to assess and treat cardiac and peripheral vascular disease. The position requires a thorough knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, hemodynamic principles, X-Ray techniques, and emergent and routine cardiac care. It also involves working with the growth and development needs of unique client populations, from children to geriatrics, and requires effective communication skills, conflict resolution, and an expert understanding of pharmacologic options for patient treatment, including special protocols for conscious sedation.
