This role involves assisting with patient preparation, operating and troubleshooting EP equipment, and performing various technical skills such as hemodynamic monitoring, mapping system setup, and pacing for arrhythmia induction. The technologist is also tasked with accurate documentation of procedure charges, maintaining a sterile environment, adhering to radiation safety protocols, and participating in quality assurance initiatives. They will manage supplies, assist in training new staff, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. A critical aspect of the role is being prepared to respond to emergencies, including providing CPR and cardiac defibrillation.
