The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery, a part of the UW Department of Surgery, is seeking a dynamic, innovative Cardiothoracic Surgeon who has the leadership and vision to contribute to and build upon the state-of-the-art clinical and research programs at UW Health. Candidates with track record of success in maintaining an independent clinical practice with a specialization in aortic-related diseases are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will be a critical team member and partner within the Section of Adult Cardiac Surgery within the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery. Close collaboration with the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine and Vascular Surgery in multidisciplinary program building is expected, in particular centering around aortic-related disease. The successful applicant must have a demonstrated interest in clinical practice, research, education and training. Applicants for this position will be considered for the following titles Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, Clinical Professor, Assistant Professor (CHS), Associate Professor (CHS), Professor (CHS), Visiting Associate Professor, or Visiting Professor. The title is determined by the experience and qualifications of the finalist. This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location. This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.
