Cardiac Sonographer/Echo Tech
About The Position
Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer/Echo Tech to join the Cardiovascular Diagnostic team at Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute! The Cardiac Sonographer/Echo Tech will assist the physician with complex ultrasound procedures to visualize internal cardiac structures, obtain measurements of cardiac valves, ventricle and left atrium and visualize blood flow. Requirements
- Completion of accredited Sonography/Ultrasound tech/Radiography educational program.
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required.
- Ability to communicate in English; both verbally and in writing.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology.

- Demonstrated ability to direct and triage in a highly fluid dynamic operational environment.
- Ability to collaborate with all layers of the management/ administration team.
Nice To Haves
- ARDCS or CCI Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer certification preferred; required within one to two years of hire.
- Ultrasound experience in echocardiography - One to two years preferred.
- Additional languages preferred.
