Job Summary The MCT/Event Technician is responsible for the timely and accurate processing, analysis, and interpretation of cardiac monitoring data. This role ensures prompt identification of clinically significant events, accurate documentation, and appropriate notifications in accordance with established medical and operational protocols. Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythms and arrhythmia interpretation.
  • Ability to identify ectopy, rhythm changes, and clinically significant events.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication for escalation and documentation.
  • Active CCT through CCI.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret cardiac monitoring data with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ensure cardiac events are processed promptly, maintaining real-time or near real-time review standards.
  • Process incoming cardiac events within one hour of receipt.
  • Identify and escalate Critical and Standard MDNs in accordance with protocol.
  • Review and validate rhythm data, ectopy, MDNs, rhythm changes, and newly revealing clinical findings.
  • Perform detailed rhythm analysis with attention to statistical accuracy and waveform integrity.
  • Ensure all interpretations meet clinical quality standards and documentation requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and patient safety standards.
