The Mass General Brigham Medical Group is a system-led operating entity formed by Mass General Brigham to deliver high quality, low cost, innovative community-based ambulatory care. This work stems from Mass General Brigham’s unified system strategy to bring health care closer to patients while lowering total health care costs. The Medical Group provides a wide range of offerings, including primary care, specialty care, behavioral and mental health, and urgent care, both digitally as well as at physical locations in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine. The group also offers outpatient surgery and endoscopy, imaging, cardiac testing, and infusion. We share the commitment to delivering a coordinated and comprehensive experience across all locations, ensuring the appropriate level of care is available to every patient across our care delivery sites. The Elfers Cardiovascular Center is located on the Newton-Wellesley Hospital main campus (2014 Washington Street, 2nd floor, in Newton, MA). Our team provides a wide range of outpatient care for patients who have a high risk of heart disease. We provide diagnosis, management of acute and chronic conditions, and preventive care. This is a full-time, 40-hour role expected to be onsite Monday through Friday from 7:30am-4:00pm. The Cardiac Device Technician will partner with our experienced team performing a variety of patient care and technical duties in the in-patient setting and in our outpatient Cardiac Device Clinics. The Tech will perform comprehensive pacemaker and defibrillator checks, monitor loop recorders, and analyze and interpret device data to support patient care. Responsibilities may also include follow-up of patients participating in research studies and clinical trials in Cardiac device therapy utilizing new therapies and devices.
