We’re looking for a Card Strategy & Partnerships Intern to join the team for the summer. In this role, you’ll work directly with the team responsible for growing Avant’s credit card program across partner marketplaces and product strategy initiatives. This is a hands-on role where you’ll help analyze performance, launch tests, build tools, and uncover opportunities that directly influence how the business grows.

Requirements

  • You’re an undergraduate or graduate student in Business, Statistics, Engineering, Math, or a related field
  • You’re able to work onsite in Chicago, IL at least 3 days per week
  • You enjoy solving problems and don’t give up easily when something is unclear
  • You’re curious and like figuring out how systems work
  • You’re comfortable working with data and numbers (even if you’re still learning tools)
  • You can communicate clearly and aren’t afraid to ask questions
  • You can operate with some autonomy and adapt when priorities shift
  • You want exposure to how real business decisions get made

Responsibilities

  • Analyze performance across acquisition channels and partner marketplaces
  • Help monitor and improve key funnel metrics to drive performance and optimize conversion
  • Support the design, launch, and evaluation of growth experiments
  • Build dashboards, models, or lightweight tools and work closely with the Data team on partner reporting to help the team make faster, better decisions
  • Leverage internal competitive intelligence to identify advantages across channels, products, promotions, and application flows to inform portfolio strategy and drive growth
  • Conduct data analysis to identify customer behavior patterns and growth opportunities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Data, Compliance, and external partners
