About The Position

The position involves monitoring all card rooms, tables, and areas associated with card play, ensuring that members and guests receive all amenities provided by Ibis in a professional and timely manner. The individual will be responsible for maintaining high standards for work areas and appearance, following departmental policies and procedures, and helping to maintain equipment such as coffee, soda machines, and snack machines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors all card rooms, tables, and areas associated with card play.
  • Sets all rooms to ensure members and guests receive all amenities in a professional and timely manner.
  • Ensures members follow all departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintains high standards for work areas and appearance.
  • Understands and follows all rules, policies, and proper procedures for staff.
  • Follows work schedule, calling out procedure, and properly clocks in/out for breaks or leaving property.
  • Maintains busy and manages own time effectively.
  • Communicates to management any safety concerns or specific tools needed.
  • Stocks supplies for the service areas as needed.
  • Remains on top of all room maintenance during card play and when not in use.
  • Displays teamwork and does whatever it takes for members and guests.
  • Keeps accurate records of attendance for each room.
  • Reports all lost and found items left behind.
  • Handles any problems that might arise courteously and professionally.
  • Advises supervisor of any member/guest complaints for immediate resolution.
  • Operates within all guidelines, policies, standards, and constraints established by the company.
