About The Position

The Capstone GA will work with Naropa College students taking Capstone II, supporting them in their visioning, researching, drafting, and revising of their capstone thesis paper as well as helping prepare them for a community presentation on their project. This support will include reading and commenting on drafts and outlines, meeting with students to discuss their progress, and partnering with Capstone II instructors and other faculty mentors to ensure that students are fully resourced in their capstone work.

  • Knowledge/skills/competencies o Excellent written and oral communication skills o Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds with diverse learning styles o Excellent organizational, administrative, and creative problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Meet regularly with Capstone II instructor.
  • Conduct three to four meetings with assigned students during the semester to discuss their progress on their capstone project.
  • Read two to three drafts of capstone papers per student and provide written and oral feedback.
  • Work, as needed, with students requiring support in preparing their capstone presentations at the end of the semester.
