AECOM is seeking a Capitol Construction Program Manager to provide management responsibilities for various client programs and projects for Federal Clients in the DC Metro areas. This full-time role will be responsible for working with the Contract/Project Executive in directing, managing, and monitoring the team to resolve challenges to meet client expectations. The role will work onsite closely with the client and team on a day-to-day basis to proactively meet the client's needs. This position is contingent on a future client win and client approval. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field +8 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Experience with Federal Contacts/Programs

Nice To Haves

  • Managing staff 10 of more and large integrated project teams
  • Experience in similar role on programs valued >$50M.
  • PMP certification or CCM
  • PE or RA
  • 15+ Years of experience

Responsibilities

  • Managing, coordinating, and administering a group of projects from conceptual stages through all phases of the projects, with the assistance of the project team.
  • Ensuring overall performance of the team and taking the lead in reporting and ensuring project completion within budget, schedule and in conformance with specifications and effectively reconciling risks to commitments that may exceed assigned schedules and budgets.
  • Coordinating communications, stakeholder contacts and maintaining good working relationships.
  • Monitoring and controlling contractual commitments to assure work being performed is in accordance with the specifications and terms of the contracts.
  • Leading a construction management team to deliver capital construction projects for US Federal Government clients.
  • Development of the Program Execution Plan.
  • Management and coordination of Project Managers, Project Controls Team, and Construction personnel.
  • Coordination of design work with the Design Manager.
  • Establishing schedules and budgets for compliance with program scope requirements and contract obligations.
  • Taking leadership initiative in working with internal team members, and client departments including cost/scheduling, procurement, quality assurance, construction, contracts, legal, labor relations, finance, accounting and other services and departments as required to successfully manage projects.
  • Providing an integrated project team approach in working with designers, contractors and governing agencies.
  • Managing the team to review and comments on design submissions, change orders, and contracts/sub-contracts, and represent the client interests to ensure control of and validate change orders are current, fair and efficiently processed, comments received from governing agencies on behalf of the client and coordinates timely resolutions.
  • Proactively monitoring critical program milestone dependencies, and tracking actions which may result in risks to critical project milestones.
  • Reviewing key performance indicators and forecasting any modifications to schedules, cost estimates, and financial reports.
