Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years in comprehensive project management experience on a variety of complex project assignments varying in complexity, scale, and cost, specifically in municipal public works or similar environments.
Valid driver’s license & Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the Commonwealth of Virginia (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
Strong understanding of municipal engineering principles, project management practices, and relevant software (Microsoft Office, CAD, GIS).

Nice To Haves

3-5 years of experience in municipal public works management or project management in a government setting.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Responsibilities

Oversee the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Review bids and recommend awards, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
Conduct regular project meetings and communicate updates to all stakeholders.
Monitor project activities, mitigate risks, and escalate issues when necessary.
Prepare and manage project budgets, tracking expenditures and forecasting needs.
Utilize best practices in project management for consistent successful outcomes.
