About The Position

The Capital Program Supervisor provides strategic leadership and supervisory oversight for the planning, budgeting, and financial management of the company’s capital expenditure program. This role is accountable for ensuring capital investments aligns with corporate financial strategy, regulatory requirements, and operational priorities. In addition to serving as the subject matter expert for capital financial planning, the supervisor leads the capital program staff, establishes standardized processes, and ensures consistent execution of capital governance across business units. The position partners closely with operations, engineering, IT, warehousing, and finance to drive transparency, accountability, and long‑term asset planning excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a focus on capital expenditures and budgeting.
  • Knowledge of financial analysis, including return on investment (ROI), net present value (NPV), and internal rate of return (IRR).
  • Have a solid understanding of warehousing practices, distribution terminology, and inventory control best practices.
  • Have excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced level experience using Microsoft Office applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with financial accounting systems, preferably JD Edwards Enterprise One, Power Plant, Insight, and database software is desirable.
  • Possess excellent data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain multi-year capital expenditures forecast for the company.
  • Lead the preparation and coordination of capital budgets across multiple business units, including operations, engineering, technology, and warehousing.
  • Oversee the closeout process for completed capital projects, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Develop standardized naming conventions and classification for capital projects to support regulatory initiatives.
  • Provide financial analysis and guidance for capital expenditure requests, ensuring adherence to approval protocols.
  • Prepare visuals showing capital spend progress and forecast
  • Monitor the financial performance of completed projects, including tracking actual expenditures versus budget, and conducting post-completion reviews.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of strategies for asset replacement, including forecasting asset life cycle costs and determining optimal replacement schedules based on utilization, age, and cost of ownership.
  • Monitor and communicate capital program status, risks and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Assist with the asset tracking system to ensure accurate and up-to-date records of all capital assets, including cost, location, and maintenance history.
