JOB SUMMARY: The Capital Program Jr. Analyst supports the planning, budgeting, tracking, and financial analysis of the company’s capital expenditure program. This role assists with capital forecasting, project tracking, and reporting activities to ensure capital investments align with corporate financial objectives, regulatory requirements, and operational needs. This position works closely with the Capital Program Supervisor and cross‑functional teams including operations, engineering, IT, warehousing, and finance. The role serves as an analytical and coordination resource, contributing to transparency, data accuracy, and effective capital program execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a focus on capital expenditures and budgeting.
  • Knowledge of financial analysis, including return on investment (ROI), net present value (NPV), and internal rate of return (IRR).
  • Have excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced level experience using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with financial accounting systems, preferably JD Edwards Enterprise One, Power Plant, Insight, and database software is desirable.
  • Possess excellent data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of a multi-year capital expenditure forecast for the company.
  • Support the preparation capital budgets across multiple business units, including operations, engineering, technology, and warehousing.
  • Assist with the closeout process for completed capital projects, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Apply approved naming conventions and classification for capital projects to support regulatory initiatives.
  • Analyze capital expenditure requests and assemble supporting financial information for review
  • Gather and analyze asset utilization, age, and cost data to inform asset replacement and lifecycle planning
  • Monitor and communicate capital program status, risks and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Assist with the asset tracking system to ensure accurate and up-to-date records of all capital assets, including cost, location, and maintenance history.
