About The Position

The Capital Procurement Manager serves as the strategic liaison between Facility Engineering, Enterprise Sourcing, and divisional project teams to optimize the procurement of maintenance and energy capital projects across the enterprise. This role leverages the annual capital allocation to identify similar strategic projects across divisions, enabling bundled bidding to maximize scale and cost efficiency. The manager supports divisional project managers by centralizing the bidding process, reducing administrative burden, and ensuring consistency in vendor selection and service quality. Additionally, the Capital Procurement Manager facilitates collaboration between divisions and vendors to coordinate project schedules, optimize resource utilization, and continuously monitor vendor performance to support strategic sourcing decisions.

Requirements

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, construction, or comparable related field experience (or equivalent field experience)
Strong analytical skills for forecasting and data analysis.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in computerized inventory management systems.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to manage supply chain operations and ensure timely delivery.
Knowledge of cost-effective procurement practices and inventory management strategies.
Travel independently up to 25%.

Responsibilities

Analyze annual maintenance and energy capital allocations to identify similar projects across divisions that can be bundled for enterprise-wide bidding, leveraging scale for cost savings.
Serve as the primary liaison with Enterprise Sourcing to develop and execute bidding strategies for capital projects, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and maximizing financial impact.
Oversee the bidding process for capital projects, relieving divisional project managers of administrative tasks and ensuring consistency and transparency in procurement practices.
Facilitate collaboration between divisions and selected vendors to efficiently schedule projects, optimize resource allocation, and minimize operational disruptions.
Collaborate with divisions to evaluate vendor performance, support vendor selection, and address service quality issues to ensure successful project execution.
Identify opportunities to leverage shared vendor relationships and best practices across divisions, driving enterprise-wide efficiency and value.
Align capital procurement activities with broader sourcing strategies to support operational excellence and financial efficiency.
Maintain contractual oversight, ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and document procurement activities accurately.
Deliver regular updates and analysis to senior leadership on procurement outcomes, cost savings, and vendor performance.
Implement best practices in capital procurement, drive process improvements, and leverage technology to enhance efficiency and transparency.
