About The Position

The Capital Planning and Asset Program Manager has overall responsibility for the success of the capital program planning process. This position will manage, communicate, and execute the strategic vision for planning in both the capital program and budgeting disciplines. Part of the overall Engineering and IFM platform structure and works with Leadership, Field and Business Operations, Account Directors, and other key stakeholders to deliver each product as defined by the individual contracts. This role may also coordinate with other platform stakeholders as required (Finance, Technology, Procurement, etc.).

Requirements

  • Four-year college degree required; degree in Business or Facilities Management preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in account management, facilities operations, analytics and planning
  • Experience in facilities management, asset management, engineering, and building/portfolio management is preferred.
  • Must have strong familiarity and working knowledge of the critical equipment.
  • Strong technical knowledge in electrical systems, electrical generation/distribution, HVAC (specific to the environment), IT systems and environments, environmental regulations, local building codes, fire and safety systems, preventive and predictive maintenance and diagnostic equipment, etc. is needed
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented, strong time management skills; interpersonal, and analytical skills; ability to prioritize multiple tasks, flexibility to re-prioritize as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that facilities are operated and maintained cost effectively, safely, efficiently and in first class condition through the creation and management of a capital maintenance plan
  • Provide technical oversight for the design and implementation of the preventative maintenance program in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations, current industry practices, and Cushman & Wakefield’s guidelines as outlined in C&W’s Policies & Procedures manuals and subsequent revisions
  • Ensure that all critical and major technical work is carried out according to code and building standards, that certificates of insurance are correct and in place, and that all work is in compliance with the building owner’s or client’s requirement.
  • Works independently to create and sustain a new program within the Engineering and IFM framework
  • Coordinate with all parties in an organized, clear, concise fashion and keep project milestones on track and visible
  • Define project requirements to the field, establishing data intake collection mechanism, template, output, feedback, and follow up communication
  • Identify risks quickly and communicate to manager
  • Provide leadership and management support to facility management and technicians who have the responsibility for day-to-day operations and maintenance of the building support systems (heating, ventilation, electrical distribution system, plumbing, fire suppression system, etc.)
