For more information visit www.marex.com . Purpose of Role The Capital Markets -XFA Intern supports the trading desk by ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely execution of daily trading activities. The role is responsible for assisting with order entry, trade execution, and post‑trade processing, as well as monitoring and reconciling trade activity to maintain data accuracy and adherence to market regulations. This role also contributes to real‑time decision‑making by providing market data analysis and reporting, gathering and preparing trading data for quantitative initiatives, and helping build and maintain tools used for performance tracking. In addition, the role collaborates with trading and operations teams to resolve trade discrepancies promptly and participates in daily desk meetings to support continuous improvements in trading efficiency.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in actuarial science, computer science, cybersecurity, finance, information systems / technology data science, mathematics, risk management, or software engineering is preferred but accounting, business administration, business analytics, business law, economics, legal studies / prelaw, political science, and supply chain management are accepted.
  • Genuine interest in one or more of the program’s departmental tracks.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship, including, but not limited to, F-1, J-1, and M-1 visa holders, as well as individuals on CPT or OPT.

Responsibilities

  • Provide trade support by assisting with order entry, trade execution, and post-trade processing.
  • Monitor and reconcile trade activity to ensure accuracy and compliance with market regulations.
  • Assist traders with real-time market data analysis and reporting.
  • Support quantitative initiatives by gathering, cleaning, and analyzing trading data for strategy development.
  • Help build and maintain spreadsheets, dashboards, and tools for performance tracking.
  • Collaborate with trading and operations teams to resolve trade discrepancies promptly.
  • Participate in daily desk meetings and contribute insights to improve trading efficiency.
