Based in Chicago Heights, IL, Nufarm is looking for a dynamic and experienced CAPEX Project Manager is responsible for a project's outcome in HSE, project performance, budget, and schedule. They are responsible for engaging the key stakeholders of the plant to ensure the project objectives are met. They will be developing a detail scope, design and construction packets, issuing and accepting permits, scheduling with production downtime, and overseeing contractors' safety and quality.

Requirements

  • You hold a bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, chemical, electrical) or a Minimum of 5 years of related experience as a project manager.
  • The right candidate will have a strong competency in engineering/construction project management and capital budget management.
  • The ideal candidate will be able to track projects, develop design and construction packets, and lead project meetings and have a solid, working knowledge of chemical processing equipment and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead capital projects from inception to completion to achieve the proposed results.
  • Communicate design plans and progress to the plant.
  • Work with the plant to create the best results.
  • Use the established project management systems, tools, and processes.
  • Develop MOC and offer HSE documentation for each project.
  • Lead the construction manager, vendors, and contractors for the project, update project tracking documents.
  • Use Ariba and other programs to for entering POs, invoices, other documents, update site files and close out documents for the project.
  • Manage contractors to complete the tasks safely and as designed; responsible for the quality of the contractors' work; coordinate and communicate schedule and needs to the plant and contractors.
  • Investigate improved manufacturing processes and techniques and implement where appropriate to drive improvements in cost, safety, quality or efficiency.
  • Establish engineering standards for use at all facilities and with contract engineer firms.
  • Lead by example and drive an incident free workplace; PTW program compliance.
