Position Summary: Responsible for preparing , organizing, and moving of product for the Cannula department. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and guidelines, as well as all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read and write and converse in English. Willing and able to uphold BD Values.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED preferred
  • In lieu of High School diploma/GED, two years manufacturing experience is required
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred
  • Previous forklift experience preferred
  • Previous experience in cannula, with knowledge of product and processes preferred
  • Work effectively on own, or in a team atmosphere - Proficient
  • Verbal communication skills - Proficient
  • Willingness and ability to train others - Proficient
  • Teamwork - Proficient
  • Organization skills, detailed oriented - Basic

Responsibilities

  • Meet established production standards and quality requirements of the product and operating with in the policies and procedures of the Quality Sysytem.
  • Check all material for proper batches
  • Segregate material into sub lots as needed
  • Ensure LP's are not mixed on cart
  • Take daily inventory to ensure product flow to the grind operation
  • Responsible for floor cleaning in the department
  • Dump waste/scrap cannula barrels as needed
  • Conduct grind stone inventory, stock grind stones
  • Prepare beads for grind floor
  • Wrap H1000 Safety Stock Pallets
  • Must be able to safely operate electric forklifts (stand up and sit down), electric pallet jacks, slip sheeting equipment and material tuggers.
  • Must achieve and maintain forklift certification.
  • Other duties as required to support the needs of the business
