About The Position

Operate our canning filler within parameters set by quality control and production Identify all product being packaged Help develop, maintain and update standard operating procedures as it relates to canning Operate CIP (clean-in-place) equipment to ensure cleanliness of machinery Clean & operate machinery according to standard operating procedures General cleanliness of packaging area Reporting of production on a daily basis Verify packaging numbers and tie back to OEE and Downtime Tracker numbers Facilitating packing team in a cohesive manner Help train Backup Operator position

Requirements

Ability to operate in a team environment
Basic math and computer skills
Ability to gain respect of pier and help lead the packaging team
Ability to oversee many machines at once
Ability to record accurate data
Troubleshoot machinery malfunctions
Light preventative maintenance to machinery
Communication skills
Must be able to reach, bend, stand, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
Willingness to work flexible and extended hours, as needed (including weekends)
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
2 years of working experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
