About The Position

Freshpaint is hiring a Candidate & Employee Experience Specialist to build and scale a seamless experience from a candidate’s first interaction with Freshpaint through their first days as an employee. This role sits at the center of our hiring and onboarding engine and you’ll report to our Lead Talent Partner.. You will own the experience from the moment a candidate visits our careers page through the interview process and into their onboarding as a new hire. You are not just coordinating interviews. You are designing and operating the systems that ensure every candidate and employee interaction reflects who we are. Over the next two years, your mission is to build and scale a world-class candidate and employee experience that enables Freshpaint to hire exceptional talent quickly while ensuring every new hire starts with clarity, organization, and confidence. This is a high ownership, high slope role inside a fast-growing startup.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing or improving employee onboarding programs
  • Experience working closely with People Ops or HR teams on new hire onboarding
  • Prior experience supporting hiring across both technical and GTM roles
  • Experience with Juicebox & Justworks
  • Experience at an early stage or high growth SaaS startup
  • Strong candidate communication or employer brand instincts

Responsibilities

  • You are extremely proficient in Ashby - meaning you know Ashby better than the people who work at Ashby.
  • Own the end to end candidate experience from application through offer and acceptance
  • Coordinate & schedule interviews and ensure clear, timely communication with candidates throughout the process
  • Identify friction in the hiring process and proactively improve it
  • Maintain clean, accurate ATS data and drive scorecard completion in Ashby
  • Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to keep hiring processes organized and moving quickly
  • Design and operate a structured onboarding experience that helps new hires ramp quickly
  • Continuously improve the candidate and onboarding experience based on feedback and operational insights
  • Ensure every interaction with Freshpaint feels thoughtful, organized, and high-ownership
