About The Position

Primary Responsibilities /Accountabilities/ Essential Functions: Directly oversee all CAC operational needs, which may include scheduling, staffing, housekeeping, maintenance, and coordination of event set-up requirements. Coordinate with other GCU departments to determine supplemental set-up requirements for events held in the CAC and auxiliary recreation areas. Coordinate custodial and maintenance needs to include facility repair and equipment purchase, repair and replacement. Hire, train, and evaluate student workers, including leadership and enhanced digital training methods for student worker leads. Assist in hiring and training of new Facility Coordinators, including on-going mentorship and leadership collaboration with the Facility Manager. Oversee daily use and administration of recreation center membership management software system. Department lead administrator for Connect2 team/project management software system. Maintain good collaboration with Camps Recreation Staff and other university partners. Other duties as assigned. Equipment Used and Responsibility Good conflict resolution/mediation skills Proficient in event management, scheduling, and logistics Proficient skill in written and verbal communications Strong planning and organizational skills; able to deal with frequent interruptions. MS Office Suite proficiency. Experience with Fusion software for recreation management. Supervisory Responsibilities Supervise graduate assistants, student workers and any assigned GCU staff Experience/ Education Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Sports Management, Parks and Recreation, Business Administration, or related field. Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record Must successfully pass a background check.
