About The Position

St. Patrick Catholic Church in Rolla, MO has an opening for a Campus Minister. The Campus Minister serves as primary administrator of the campus ministry program sponsored by St. Patrick parish at the University of Missouri S&T which fosters a vibrant Catholic presence on campus. This campus minister is responsible for faith formation, student engagement, leadership development, and overall management of the campus ministry program. The campus minister works collaboratively with the St. Patrick Parish, university administration, student leaders, and the wider diocesan community to support the mission of Catholic campus ministry as envisioned by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops on the campus of Missouri S&T.

Requirements

  • Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Divinity (M.Div.), Pastoral Ministry, or related field (preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience in youth or campus ministry.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Spiritual Leadership
  • Coordinate sacramental ministry with assigned clergy.
  • Spiritual accompaniment to students.
  • Organize retreats, days of reflection, Eucharistic adoration, and other spiritual activities.
  • Foster vocations awareness and discernment opportunities.
  • Faith Formation & Evangelization
  • Foster catechetical programs grounded in the teachings of the Catholic Church.
  • Assist with bible studies, OCIA preparation, small groups, and theological workshops.
  • Support students preparing for Confirmation and reception into full communion.
  • Promote missionary discipleship and outreach to inactive or non-practicing students.
  • Student Leadership Development
  • Recruit, train, and mentor student leaders within the registered student organization.
  • Equip students to integrate faith with academic and professional life.
  • Encourage service learning, social justice initiatives, and community service.
  • Community Building
  • Create a welcoming, inclusive environment for students of diverse backgrounds.
  • Plan social events, service projects, and fellowship opportunities.
  • Maintain a visible presence on campus through collaboration with university departments and student services.
  • Administration & Operations
  • Oversee daily operations of the campus ministry program.
  • Manage budget, fundraising efforts, donor relations, and stewardship initiatives.
  • Supervise staff and volunteers.
  • Ensure compliance with diocesan and university policies.
