About The Position

The JESCO Community Campus Manager is the cornerstone position responsible for facilitating the development and implementation of day-to-day operations and educational programming for the Aurora Community Campus. The Aurora Community Campus, under the direction of the JESCO Community Campus Manager, supports justice-involved and historically underserved youth in achieving educational and life success, in partnership with the broader team and community-based partners serving these youth. Working in collaboration with educators, service providers, and community partners, the position ensures every student receives individualized, intentional support that addresses academic, social-emotional, and real-world success. The JESCO Community Campus Manager ensures campus staff use the provided tools, technology, and data systems to deliver promised programming and track its impact. This is a dynamic, systems and people-centered role that demands consistency, empathy, strategic thinking, and strong execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in teaching, curriculum & instruction, administration, etc.
  • Licensed Secondary teacher
  • Familiarity with historically marginalized populations and justice-engaged students or situations
  • Experienced educator who has innovated in the classroom and beyond, demonstrated strong ability to build student and staff relationships, and solve challenging educational problems of practice
  • Highly motivated, self-starter who moves quickly toward gaining traction and sees what needs to be done on the ground as well as how that work can drive systemic change

Responsibilities

  • Onsite Instructional Coordination & Program Facilitation (70%) Provides oversight and direction to academic programming, scheduling students to move toward graduation based on their interests, abilities, and future focus. Oversees daily onsite operations at the Community Campus, ensuring all youth-facing services run smoothly, are on schedule, and are impactful. Teaches and/or facilitates coursework maximizing learning time, opportunities, and impact so that students’ coursework needs are met. Engages the team in maintaining a welcoming, tidy, clean, structured, and safe space where students can access academic supports, tutoring, meals, co-curricular activities, etc., feel safe, and have scaffolding to move their lives forward positively. Ensures proper usage and maintenance of shared facilities, technology, and community resources, building a strong relationship and partnership with the host organization. Coordinates special events, workshops, site visits, and community outreach efforts in partnership with the Manager of Culture & Administration in alignment with programmatic goals and the broader GSN and JESCO teams.
  • Campus Safety, Belonging & Accountability (15%) In partnership with the Campus Director: Ensures implementation of site-based safety plans, daily check-in/check-out procedures, and restorative practices. Intervenes proactively and appropriately in conflict or crises, following de-escalation and reporting protocols. Promotes a culture of belonging, inclusion, and mutual respect. Addresses and reports concerns related to physical, emotional, or systemic safety issues to the Campus Director and designated partners.
  • Data & Technology Management Accurately tracks all required data (attendance, grades, etc.) to report on school performance and system progress. Designs, monitors, and updates students' daily Play Lists, Graduation Plans, attendance, and referral logs, ensuring the team all plays their part. Helps prepare for and host site visits for funders, partners, guest teachers, and internal leadership. Uses data to inform continuous improvement and culturally responsive practices, participating in regular data cycles with the team that helps to solidify the school model for replication.
  • Partnership Management & Stakeholder Collaboration (10%) Acts as an on-site contact for partners and external collaborators, including nonprofits, school district staff, city agencies, and mentors. Supports community partner onboarding, scheduling, and compliance with service-delivery expectations through the Campus Culture & Administrative Manager. Facilitates regular touchpoints and site coordination meetings to assess impact and identify gaps in services where additional partnerships and/or stakeholder voice are needed. Ensures that all partnership activities align with JESCO's mission, values, and youth safety policies. Supports Campus Director in scheduling and facilitating monthly stakeholder meetings to include probation officers, judges, mentors, community partners, etc., that can advise on program needs and offer recommendations for success.
  • Case Management & Youth Navigation (5%) Provides trauma-informed, culturally responsive case management to any assigned students. Conducts regular one-on-one coaching sessions, barrier resolution planning, and family outreach when appropriate. Documents all interactions, referrals, interventions, and outcomes using the CaseMGR platform. Serves as needed as the primary adult advocate and accountability partner for each assigned student.
