The Campus Director of Disability and Accessibility Services plays a critical role at the campus level by fulfilling this commitment and overseeing accommodations and services for students with permanent and/or temporary disabilities. The Campus Director ensures compliance with state and federal legislation, engages in the interactive process with students, determines and recommends reasonable and appropriate accommodations that support student success and maintain academic integrity. The incumbent must demonstrate cultural humility, sensitivity, and the ability to effectively train, guide, and support students, faculty, and staff from diverse academic, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds. The Campus Director also provides leadership and guidance in complying with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, the ADA Amendments Act of 2008, and other related legislation.
