Reporting to the Campus Executive Director, with a dotted-line relationship to the Provost, the University Dean of General Education holds a dual-scope leadership role. Approximately 70% of the position is dedicated to campus-level academic operations - providing day-to-day leadership, direction, supervision, and evaluation of the general education program, academic support, retention and services on the assigned campus. The remaining 30% is dedicated to university-wide responsibilities, including oversight of the academic and operational components of General Education across all undergraduate programs delivered online and on site. Campus-level responsibilities include academic policy administration, instructional effectiveness, instructional administration, faculty management, and serving as a member of the campus leadership team for strategic planning and fiscal management. University-wide responsibilities include ensuring the quality, integrity, and consistency of curriculum and instruction for the General Education program across all delivery modalities. The University Dean serves as a key leader supporting persistence and retention of all General Education students and provides professional leadership and support for other Campus Academic Deans, faculty, fostering an environment where creativity, responsiveness, continuous improvement, accountability and a student-centered mindset are promoted.
