About The Position

WestGate Church, a non-denominational, multi-congregational church situated in one of the most diverse and influential regions of the world—the Silicon Valley—is seeking a highly organized, relational, and mission-driven Campus Administrator and Central Communications Manager. This role integrates campus administration and weekend children’s ministry support of the Redwood City campus, as well as central digital communications management to ensure operational excellence, welcoming environments, effective ministry coordination, and engaging communication with our church community.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for effective document creation, data analysis, and presentations.
  • Superior communication skills: written and verbal.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the atmosphere of the front office, copy room and storage areas are to WG standards (clean, well stocked, music, etc).
  • Greet people in person and answer incoming phone calls/emails with professionalism and warm hospitality.
  • Submit expense reports, check requests, and billing for vendors.
  • Assist with maintaining church databases, event registrations, weekend metrics, newcomer follow up, etc.
  • Provide planning and preparation assistance to weekend services, church activities, baptisms, classes, communion.
  • Assist Congregational Pastor with the planning and execution of special events and services (Congregation Events, Easter, Christmas, etc.)
  • Assist the Congregational Pastor with light administrative duties.
  • Manage facility calendar and scheduling of rooms.
  • Alert Campus Operations team when the buildings are in need of attention (cleaning or repairs).
  • Work with families in scheduling and coordinating memorial services and weddings.
  • Respond to facility rental requests. Manage lease agreements and fees.
  • Support Children’s Ministry during weekend services
  • Ensure classrooms are open, prepared, and fully staffed
  • Greet families and help create a welcoming, safe environment
  • Monitor children’s ministry volunteer coverage, child-to-leader ratios, and safety protocols
  • Support children’s ministry volunteer leaders with supplies, check-ins, and encouragement
  • Assist with children’s ministry volunteer communication, scheduling, and care
  • Participate in training, recruiting, and appreciation efforts as needed
  • Manage WestGate social media presence in alignment with WestGate brand and strategy
  • Create, schedule, and post content that promotes services, events, and ministry stories
  • Collaborate with Central Communications team on campaigns and messaging
  • Monitor engagement metrics and adjust strategy to increase reach and participation
  • Support church app engagement as needed by Comms Director (announcements, events, notifications, updates)
  • Assist in updating church website as needed by Comms Director
