About The Position

The campus activities board (CAB), student employee is responsible for on-campus event programming. This position coordinates social, educational, and cultural events designed to fulfill student interests. The intent of this job description is to provide a representation of the types of duties and level of responsibility that will be required of positions given this title. Requirements

  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. Additional requirements may be designated by position.
  • Good academic and financial standing with the University
  • Current enrollment in classes at Lindenwood University
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
  • Strong intrapersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Highly organized
  • Professional integrity and reliability
  • Knowledge of general office software, particularly Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to walk long distances
  • Regular in-person attendance is a necessary and essential function

Responsibilities

  • Plans and executes campus events for the entire student body
  • Communicates with campus partners and external vendors
  • Completes necessary paperwork and financial processes in a timely manner
  • Assists with marketing initiatives related to CAB events
  • Provides excellent, professional customer service to students and employees
  • Collaborates with Student Involvement team members to construct ideas and event planning structures
  • Serves as a team lead for events and committee meetings
  • Assesses event planning and execution for potential risks
  • Collects feedback from the student body with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Engages in problem solving for unexpected challenges related to events
  • Supports the mission of the University and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence
  • Models, supports, and holds others accountable to the University’s values
  • Job may require other duties as assigned.
