About The Position

United Way of Dane County (UWDC) is seeking energetic and talented individuals to join a highly focused and successful team for the 2026 Community Campaign. With guidance from UWDC staff, a team of approximately 10 Campaign Fundraising Specialist - Loaned Executives will create and implement innovative fundraising strategies, volunteer engagement opportunities and top-of-the line cultivation and stewardship best practices to assist corporate partners in running successful workplace campaigns. Purpose of Position The Campaign Fundraising Specialist – Loaned Executive serves as a key liaison between United Way of Dane County and local organizations running workplace campaigns. In this role, you will partner with staff and volunteers to increase awareness, engagement, and support for United Way’s work across Dane County. Each specialist manages a portfolio of approximately 20–35 accounts and is responsible for achieving assigned fundraising and participation goals.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining accountability for results.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with CRM systems a plus.
  • Experience in customer service, sales, fundraising, volunteer coordination, or community outreach.
  • Experience tracking data and maintaining records using databases or spreadsheets.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle preferred; ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

  • Presentation or training experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting volunteer-driven initiatives or workplace campaigns preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct account research and strategy development by assessing each organization’s capacity and tailoring engagement plans using United Way best practices.
  • Design and deliver compelling presentations to diverse audiences that communicate community needs and inspire increased financial support for vital services.
  • Collaborate with organizational leadership, including CEOs and Leadership Giving Managers, to plan and execute initiatives and events that strengthen and expand leadership-level giving.
  • Partner with Employee Campaign Managers to plan, promote, and successfully execute workplace campaigns, providing guidance, tools, and ongoing support.
  • Manage administrative and reporting functions, including weekly updates, campaign tracking, account closeout, and accurate documentation of activities, interactions, and outcomes within the database.
  • Maintain stewardship of assigned accounts, ensuring timely follow-up, pledge collection, and delivery of a positive donor experience.
  • Achieve assigned revenue and participation goals through proactive relationship management, strategic outreach, and consistent follow-through.
  • Facilitate campaign training sessions for company volunteers and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and manage the distribution of campaign materials to assigned accounts.
  • Deliver presentations to employee groups and coordinate agency tours and guest speakers to enhance engagement.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate account records, including campaign performance data, notes, and recommendations for future growth opportunities.
