About The Position

The American Immigration Council works to strengthen America by shaping how America thinks about and acts towards immigrants and immigration, and by working toward a more fair and just immigration system that opens its doors to those in need of protection and unleashes the energy and skills that immigrants bring. The Council brings together individuals adept at solving problems and employs four coordinated approaches to advance change—litigation, research, legislative and administrative advocacy, and communications. Position Summary The Campaign Coordinator is tasked with providing logistical and operational support for IJC (Immigration Justice Campaign), with a particular focus on maintaining the case management database (Dynamics), generating data reports for relevant stakeholders, supporting the website and other technical tools of IJC, and assisting in volunteer coordination as needed.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience troubleshooting technical problems and familiarity with coding in any coding language or framework a strong plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics a plus
  • Strong technical abilities preferred, including proficiency in editing websites and using software in a self-directed way
  • Experience with cloud-based tools for document management preferred (such as Office 365 or Google Drive)

Responsibilities

  • Manage case database, including creating new entries, organizing relevant documents for cases, implementing periodic review and regular data cleanup, implementing systems for consistent data tracking across projects, and updating case information as requested by other IJC staff
  • Maintain all IJC data and prepare reports as needed
  • Monitor and respond to emails in shared inboxes
  • Assist the Director with external communications, including meetings with stakeholders and partners
  • Maintain a calendar for project deliverables and reports
  • Additional administrative and project support as needed
  • Coordinate and manage updates to referral forms and other case tracking mechanisms with the legal team, ensuring placement documents are fully updated and well-organized on a regular basis
  • Prepare and distribute regular email communications for current volunteers and the supporter email list
  • Support the mentorship team with in-house cases, including call scheduling and administrative support
  • Pair pro bono attorneys with interpreters/translators as needed
  • Track case progression and flag issues for mentors and pro bono coordination team
  • Support with troubleshooting and improvements as needed on technical tools, including website (WordPress), database (Dynamics), Adobe, and other software used by the team
  • Proactively identify issues with technical tools and propose solutions
