About The Position

Camp Supervisor – Salomon Farm Lead, inspire, and create unforgettable summer experiences for kids! If you love the outdoors, mentoring staff, and hands-on learning, this is your role. What You'll Do Oversee camp staff and programs, ensure camper safety, coordinate activities and events, manage records, and engage parents and visitors. Support experiential learning through outdoor education, farm activities, and team-building experiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in education, environmental education, recreation, or related field preferred
• 2+ years' experience in recreation, education, outdoor programs, or equivalent combination
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
• Comfortable hiking up to 5 miles/day, performing moderate physical labor, and working outdoors
• First Aid, CPR, and AED (American Heart Association) within 2 weeks of hire
• Valid Indiana driver's license
• Preventing Disease Transmission training
• Outdoor and farm skills: hiking, tools, tractors, farm equipment, and bubble machine use
• Knowledge of natural history, Salomon Farm, and outdoor recreation
• Recordkeeping, basic math, and problem-solving

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise 20–30 camp counselors, ensuring safety, training, and daily operations
• Develop and coordinate camp programs, activities, and experiential learning opportunities
• Maintain facilities, grounds, livestock, gardens, and equipment
• Manage camper registration, attendance, records, and parent communications
• Handle emergencies, enforce rules, and support special events and outreach
