About The Position

The Camp Placement Specialist will be responsible for placing CIEE camp participants to summer camps in the U.S. in a way that aligns with CIEE's mission and value. The role will take applicants and host camps through the entire process of onboarding, recruitment, and placement. The successful candidate will be an experienced professional with excellent relationship-building and sales experience, customer service skills, confidence, and flexibility. Camp Exchange USA within the Seasonal Exchange programs group allows approximately 2,600 students and young professionals from around the world to take part in exchange programs at host organizations across the U.S. each year. These programs are operated under the authority of the U.S. Department of State to advance public diplomacy through the BridgeUSA set of programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent).
  • A minimum of 2 years of previous sales preferred (B2B and human capital solutions) or camp staffing experience is preferred.
  • This role involves some domestic and international travel (Flexible).
  • Computer skills including MS Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Salesforce.
  • Ability to work collaboratively.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic environment and within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and be flexible.
  • Energetic, personable, goal and team-oriented.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in international exchange programs encouraged.
  • International travel and/or work experience encouraged.
  • Recruitment/Human Resource experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Onboard, track, monitor, and match camp applicants to host camps based on the unique hiring needs of camps.
  • Onboard and sell CIEE's Camp Exchange program to prospective camp hosts.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and facilitate hiring events with prospective applicants and camp hosts.
  • Prospect and cold call to collect relevant information about camp needs.
  • Monitor placement rates and review periods to look for trends and increase placements.
  • Foster ongoing relationships with U.S. Summer camps (recruiters, H.R. representatives, business owners).
  • Provide consultation on hiring needs and creating a successful Bridge USA program.
  • Obtain commitments to U.S. summer camps to hire Bridge USA participants.
  • Promote CIEE at regional and national tradeshows as needed.
  • Work with other teams on Seasonal Exchanges to ensure a successful program experience for Bridge USA participants, from application to program completion including in-country camp host support.
  • Hire program participants for host employers and camps as needed - hire may be in-person overseas or virtually.
  • Maintain an accurate and complete sales database.
  • Travel internationally as needed to support CIEE's program placement goals and objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
