About The Position

This position is responsible for: Performs all housekeeping tasks necessary for the preparation of camp facilities; performs a variety of housekeeping duties for a camp; cleans restrooms, offices, and other camp facilities; washes, stores, and distributes linens; ensures the neatness and cleanliness of the camp facilities on a daily basis.

Requirements

• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to drive a golf cart.
• Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
• Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines and time constraints.
• No formal education or experience required.
• Valid State Driver’s License.
• ServeSafe Food Manager Certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs all housekeeping tasks for each of the 17 facilities on camp ground including deep cleaning of cabins, dining room, conservatory, kitchen, craft huts, chapel, pavilion, nurses stations, staff lodge, camp store, staff lounge, canteen, office/Welcome Center, cottages, and Officer housing (ensuring food and drinks are stocked as needed for events)
• Cleans camp facilities and offices; collects, washes, folds, stores, and distributes linens.
• Ensures the accountability of linens as follows. Washes and folds all linens from dining room after each meal and ensure linen is re-stocked.
• Assists in securing linens for campers without proper linens.
• Monitors light fixtures to ensure all light bulbs are in working order; replace light bulbs as necessary.
