About The Position

KE Camps is seeking a remote, part-time Camp Health Director to review and sign the health and safety policy, provide guidance, and make recommendations to ensure a safe and positive camp experience for all participants. This role offers a light, flexible commitment, with most activity taking place in January and minimal involvement June through August.

Requirements

  • In accordance with state and local regulations, the Camp Health Director must be one of the following (All of the certifications must be NY based): Physician (MD or DO) Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant Registered Nurse (RN) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Other qualified individual acceptable to the permit-issuing official
  • Current certification in CPR and First Aid
  • Documentation of professional license or certification as defined above

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of pediatric care and camp health policies preferred

Responsibilities

  • Review KE Camps' Healthcare Policies annually including emergency plans to ensure camp is following state/county policies, and provide feedback or recommendations if needed
  • Sign off on policies upon completion of review
  • Serve as an off-site resource for health-related inquiries from camp staff and administrators as it relates to injuries, camper illness, medication error (if required)
