This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Under the direction of the Associate Executive Director, the Access & Ability Director is responsible for the direct supervision and organization of the inclusion program serving all children with special needs including up to 12 staff. The Access & Ability Director will work with children and teens with special needs in a recreational and/or organized program setting that will meet the objectives of the Hal Welsh East Area Family YMCA and Camp Evergreen. Provide opportunities for all children to build confidence, learn new life-skills, and develop friendships. Attend overnights as needed. The Access & Ability Director assures the well-being for each participant in line with YMCA of the USA guidelines and association policies in accordance with their training.
