Performs all duties in accordance with prescribed regulatory compliance guidelines as well as American Camp Association accreditation standards. Maintains and follows all health regulations (i.e., washing hands, keeping hair back, no open-toed shoes, no tank tops). Arrives 45 minutes before scheduled mealtime. Remains on the job during mealtimes. No sitting down, eating, or drinking during camper mealtimes or cleanup times. Keeps a daily account of dishwasher temperature. Report any problems with equipment to the Camp Dining Hall Supervisor. Washes dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand after each meal. Places clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas that are protected from dust and contamination between uses. Cleans the dishwasher room area, including walls and baseboards, after each meal. Nothing is to be sitting on the floor. Wipes down the dining room wall by the tray window after each meal and mops. Maintains kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition. Mops the kitchen daily, following the evening meal, and mops the dish room after each meal. Keeps the outside area trash clean. Hose off the back dock at the end of each day. After each meal, empty the trash cans and reline. Wash out garbage cans with water weekly. Participates enthusiastically as a member of the camp staff team, delivering and supervising evening programs, special events, overnights, and other all-camp activities and camp functions. Keeps personal living quarters neat, clean, and ready for inspection. Be available to participate and assist with camp programs and activities as directed by the Camp Director.
