Preschool Camp Counselor 2026: Preschool Camp Counselors support a summer camp program serving preschool-aged children (ages 4–5) by providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment each day. Counselors work in pairs to oversee a group of 14 campers. Counselors also work closely with the Camp Supervisor and fellow staff to carry out daily activities, support children’s care and supervision, and create positive camp experiences. Responsibilities include actively supervising children, assisting with daily routines, leading and participating in themed activities, group games, art projects, outdoor play, and water activities. Counselors help maintain a clean and organized camp space, follow safety procedures, and support children’s social and emotional development. Daily interaction and communication with families is an important part of this role. Counselors will also accompany children on an offsite field trip to the Nature Classroom and the Spray N’ Play. Counselors are expected to use technology to assist with documentation, take photos, and communicate with families as directed. The position may include lifting during camp set-up, clean-up, or while supervising children; candidates must be able to lift and carry 30–40 pounds. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, dependable, patient, and enjoys working as part of a team while supporting young children through play, exploration, and positive relationships. The camp is located at the Alcott Center.
