About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Camera and Access Control Technician to provide part-time support for security systems. The technician will assist with the maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of security cameras and access control solutions across multiple facilities. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on technical experience in low-voltage systems, security infrastructure, and a passion for customer service. 525 Technologies ownership comes from a technical and problem-solving background. Requirements

  • Experience with CCTV, IP cameras, and access control systems .
  • Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, switches, connectivity).
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications a plus).
  • Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in security systems, low-voltage, or IT support.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on ladders or in confined spaces as needed.
  • Must pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on knowledge of Genetec Security Center and ExacqVision platforms is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site support for security cameras (CCTV/IP) and access control systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of equipment.
  • Assist with new installations, including wiring, device setup, and system configuration.
  • Work with IT/security teams to address system alerts and performance issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of service, repairs, and installations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and security standards.
